Every great tale begins with an idea. Start a new story from scratch or get inspired by an external link. Write your first entry (at least 6 words) and set the stage. The first entry is critical—it sets the tone for the entire story.

Once a story is created, it's open for collaboration. Users take turns adding to the story. Each turn has a time limit to keep the story moving. The number of words you can add per turn depends on your subscription tier.

When it's your turn, add your words to continue the narrative. If you're not ready, you can pass the story to another user via direct message, email, or by sharing on social media. The story must keep flowing!

Each story has a maximum word count. Once it's reached, the story is complete! It becomes a finished work that can be shared, read, and enjoyed by everyone. Completed stories can even be turned into AI-generated videos.

Any story can be converted into a party game, or you can start one from scratch. Invite friends directly or join public parties from the "Parties" tab on the home page.

Players take turns adding to the story based on a set turn order. You'll have a limited time to write your part. Think fast and be creative!

Earn points for your contributions based on word count and hearts from other players. After the game, the player with the most points wins! Points can be used for discounts in the upcoming Scriv Store.

Once the party is over, the creator can publish the final story. It becomes a regular tale on Scriv, a memento of your shared creativity.
